Meet the Team
Jeff T. Muller
For over 20 years, Jeff has combined his love of design with a business owner’s mindset to help companies in the areas of marketing and design.
Prior to starting Muller Design in 2002, Jeff served in senior design roles for Crowe Chizek, Digital Commerce, and Watermark Software.
Jeff’s first website design was for Michigan-based law firm, Varnum, in 1996. As part of the Digital Commerce team in 1997, Jeff helped Bissell Corporation start selling vacuums online. Jeff has also been helping companies with search marketing (SEO) prior to Google coming on the scene in 1998. Since then, Jeff has designed numerous print pieces and over 100 websites with a focus on creating design that differentiates, clearly communicates, and contributes to the bottom line. In his spare time, Jeff enjoys volunteering, most outdoor activities, traveling, cooking, and spending time with friends and family.
Kristy Durian Muller
Communications & Public Relations
Account & Project Management
Kristy has over 20 years of marketing, public relations and account management experience. She joined Muller Design in September 2011, working in account management and public relations. Prior to working at Muller Design, from 2005 to 2011 Kristy was director of communications at Grand Rapids Christian Schools. There she demonstrated the ability to understand and communicate the vision of Christian schools and the unique role they play within their communities. Writing, public relations management, media relations, website maintenance, and planning and executing special events were key components of her job.
Prior to this, Kristy spent ten years in corporate marketing in Grand Rapids, serving as marketing director at Beene Garter where she was responsible for planning, directing and implementing marketing, advertising, branding, public relations and communication activities for the largest independently-owned accounting firm in West Michigan.
Kristy majored in public relations at Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo and graduated with a Bacheor of Arts degree in 1994.
She enjoys time with family, and being a mom of two active boys, Matthew Durian (18) and Grant Jeffrey (16) – who are the fifth generation in her family to attend a Christian school. She is a volunteer at Calvin Christian Schools, serves on the Athletic Boosters Club, and is a member of the Global Mission Council at First Reformed Church.
Hobbies include outdoor activities, watching her boys play soccer, skiing, hiking, biking, and reading.

Matt has over 20 years of development experience. As a lead developer Matt’s responsibilities include web development, email marketing and implementing client search marketing strategies. Matt is also Muller Design’s in-house Google Analytics and Adwords expert.
Matt serves as a marketing committee member with Great Start of Ottawa County, and also volunteers his time with the Grand Rapids Civic Theatre – where he serves on the marketing and development committee and donates photography services to help promote their shows.

Sales & Marketing Strategist
For over 25 years, Jake has been running operations, sales and marketing for global manufacturers. Jake has also been involved in process improvement and leadership development initiatives. Jake was responsible for growing Zoppas Industries’ North American sales from $5 million to over $400 million in just under 10 years.
He also directed global projects traveling all throughout Europe, Asia, and North America, including projects for NASA, ESA, Boeing, General Motors, Ford, McDonalds, General Electric, Whirlpool, and many more. He was appointed to and sat on the Board of Directors for Zoppas’ North American Divisions for over a decade. He has flown over 1.5 million miles and traveled to over 50 countries and every state in our country.
After “retiring” from Zoppas Jake and Jeff teamed up to start FSEConnect, a global advertising, consulting, and marketing business. Jake also specializes in market studies, marketing and sales strategy, sales consulting and coaching.
He enjoys spending his free time with his wife Tasha, his son Luke, and daughter Lucy.
Senior Web Developer
Mike is extremely passionate about using technology to simplify things and make life easier for people. With a master’s degree in Advertising Design from Syracuse University, Mike knows a thing or two about making interactive that looks great and performs even better. Always looking to move forward and tackle new challenges, his favorite project is the next one on his desk. A proud husband and father of two, Mike loves West Michigan because it’s a great place to raise a family and there is always something to do in every season.
Amy has a consistent track record of providing excellent verbal and written communication and ensuring clear, consistent brand management and messaging across a variety of channels. She is also incredibly detail-oriented and and possesses strong financial and analytical skills. She is also firmly committed to providing excellent customer service and handling private client data with confidentiality and integrity.In her spare time Amy enjoys running, watching her daughters’ college soccer matches and spending time enjoying the great Michigan outdoors.
Web & Graphic Designer
Highly creative and technical problem solver with a passion for conceptualization and implementation of web and graphic design solutions. Passionate about helping to drive creative marketing strategies from concept to completion while overseeing projects that require specialized knowledge of web methods and design techniques. Along with many years of professional experience I bring a positive attitude that adds layers of value to the client experience and teamwork atmosphere.
Social Media Coordinator
Alison is our digital and social media coordinator. Her responsibilities include developing and managing our clients’ social media strategies, copywriting for multi-platform sponsored promotions and curating content. She also generates and analyzes digital media analytics. Alison is a graduate of Michigan State University in advertising management, and is currently pursuing her BFA in graphic design from Kendall College of Art and Design,
Alison is proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, and InVision, as well as social management software: Sprout, Buffer, and Hootsuite.
In 2017 Alison spent six months working in Sydney, Australia as a social content manager. In her spare time, Alison enjoys travel, coffee shops, rockclimbing, and skiing. She is a recent newlywed and very much enjoyed her honeymoon in Thailand.

When we’re assembling a team of experts around our clients’ specific needs, we also contract with our highly-skilled strategic partners (also known as “A-players”). These are strategists, developers, designers, photographers and copywriters that share Muller Design’s pursuit of smarter-leaner-faster marketing.
This “virtual team” approach also allows us to keep overhead low while providing high quality work that’s on-target, on-time and on-budget.
We have worked with several large agencies, but have often found Muller Design’s work to be better. Muller Design provides more responsive and personal service than the larger agencies. They listen to our ideas and our goals and then translate them into designs and pieces that are exactly what we need to attract our target audience.
